Sure my way costs more up front, but the results are very much worth it. Photoshop has great batch tools that will manage your printing much better. Just make huge pixel images of the files you want plotted. I was much happier with my output once I abandoned the Heidi Plot Driver.
I use mine to plot Orthophoto maps for my aerial survey business. They do not even begin to do their best work until you go Postscript. These machines, both the 96 at their heart are Print Shop Gear. I then use Photoshop and one of two software RIP's to output to the Epson Printer.
